Family Mission Statement

"The Mission of the Anderson Family is to become and do all things necessary to be exalted as a family. To prepare for heaven, we will create a 'heaven on earth' by maintaining: A home where the spirit dwells, a home of LOVE, a home of FAITH, a home of ORDER, a home of LEARNING, a home of HEALTH, a home of WORK, and a home of PLAY-- where we are united in our obedience to God and enjoy true happiness."

Rubiks Cube Algorithm Analogy

Packer studies rubiks cube algorithms for hours.
He memorizes them, then practices and times himself.
If he just guesses, it only solves parts of it temporarily and
may mess up other parts.
During our family scripture study last week,
we read in 3Nephi 27:11 that man's ways
will only work for a season, then they have an end.
They may solve something temporarily, but mess up other things.
Christ's algorithms (or teachings for how to love people and handle situations)
are the only perfect solutions.  We need to learn and memorize "his ways"
and apply them in each circumstance.
I think that is what is meant by "Always Remembering Him."
Remembering what he did or taught in similar situations.
I have been trying to teach my kids in each conflict they face what Christ did.
"And we talk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ, we prophesy of Christ,
and we write according to our prophecies, that our children may know to what source
they may look for a remission of their sins." (2 Nephi 25:26)
