Donny's grandma, Dorothy Edwards Milligan, died today-
ON HER 96th BIRTHDAY!
We were on our way to go visit her-
to take her a doughnut and sing to her,
like we do every Sunday,
and we got a phone call on Donny's cell
from Scott Monson (the owner of Williamsburg Retirement Center)
saying she had just passed away.
We still went in and sang to her and held her hand.
We felt so much love in the room-
the Holy Ghost comforted us and filled us with gratitude
for having been able to spend her last 2 years with her.
These are some pictures of us at one of our last visits with her.
She held onto Hunter for quite a while, hugging him.
She sure loves him and feels something special for him.
She told us she would watch over him as his angel.
She was so prepared to go back home to her Heavenly Father.
She was full of love and had truly submitted her will to His.
She ended her days in peace and contentment.
We know her spirit still lives and is REJOICING to be with her husband again.
Donny put a picture of her husband by her pillow and we sang to her-
God Be With You Till We Meet Again!
And we know we will meet again because of Jesus Christ and the hope of Resurrection.

The Atonement is awesome. I'm so grateful we can be with our families forever. It's comforting to know that she is now with her husband :)
Oh Mollie! I am so sorry. Even with the truth of the atonement, it is always hard to say goodbye. Grandma is probably so happy to be reunited with her husband. What a wonderful blessing to have eternal families!
Mollie, I am forever impressed that you listened to the prompting of the spirit and cared for her. You learned from her, and from the experience of caring from her. And you were able to help prepare her to meet her Savior. You were pregnant and had five kids, you could have easlit said that you couldn't possibly have taken her on, but you did as you were prompted by the spirit. What a blessing. I am your biggest Fan, I love you and think you are the BEST! Love to you and your family. Brook
Mollie, you are amazing to have cared for her. And what an amazing experience for your children (especially Hunter) to always treasure. I am happy for her that she is finally reunited with her sweetheart. I know she has been longing to go for a long time.
What of bittersweet experience. I can only imagine what her reunion was like with her husband and family on the other side. As I ponder the words of that hymn, I get so emotional. What an amazing experience and wonderful blessing to invite her into your home and teach your children service, sacrifice, compassion.. so many things..I know your family will continue room feel blessings from it. Thank you for being a great example to me.
